Customer case story: Satellite sensor

BUMAX high-strength hexagon bolts have proven to be the optimal choice for demanding satellite applications. The Taiwanese National Space Organization (NSPO) required a high strength bolt for its Formosat-5 Earth observation satellite.

The bolts were used to fasten together an Advanced Ionospheric Payload (AIP) at the very front of the satellite. High strength bolts were required as they can cope with a resonance frequency in excess of 120 Hz, which standard stainless steel hexagon bolts simply could not cope with.
